Day 16

Baru Beach

Day 17

A little flying superman at sunset! You never know what you're going to find on the beach.

Sigh. We've left the Garden of Eden. The only difference between Costa Rica and the biblical oasis, is that everyone is wearing masks - even orange-vested road workers are man enough to mask-up. No whining here. Well, maybe they're whining. I don't speak spanish.

Yes, Dominical is where my heart is. Definitely not yucky ole Minnesota. But we're still here, in the mountains near Orosi. The past week was full of beaches, beauty, bats, and brooms. Brooms? (I had to sweep guano away from our front door everyday, because a brave bat sleeps above the entryway - same as two years ago) I don't mind a bit. It's just the price you pay when toucans are as plentiful as squirrels, and howler monkeys hoot above your bedroom window. In the hills above Dominical, you don't need a birding guide to show you where the birds are. They're everywhere.

The commute to Orosi.

Stay tuned...

Sharon - another set of glorious photos. I am partial to the animal shots, but the photo with the woman on the beach is a stand-out. Is that you? Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Sounds and looks like paradise! I hope to get there in my next life if I don’t this time around. Until then, I’ll be happy looking at photos as yours. :-)
