Flovember: Post Storm

Day 10

“At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun.” –Sandy Gringas

Day 11

Day 12

The storm!
We didn't go out on Wednesday.

Day 13

After the storm, I found a tervis glass on the beach!

Day 14

Day 15

Day 16

An osprey slept on the balcony next door.

Day 17

“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch – we are going back from whence we came.” –John F. Kennedy

On Monday, the storm moved through like a wandering bear cub. On Wednesday, it came back like a curious fox. A rabid fox, but definitely not a lion. We stayed inside. I ate more Grace and Shelly's cupcakes. I drank Flor de Cana rum and coconut water, and made my famous squash ravioli with proscuito, pecans and cream sauce. Now, the skies are warm, the beaches are calling. The tide is low. Meanwhile, the coronavirus has infected eleven million people. And another hurricane is looming over Central America. Life is always full of yin and yang. Next week, I'll post more yin on Lover's Key.

I loved your seaside images and notes from your week. So sorry to hear about your Covid cases in US. We have relatively few cases here in Australia. Stay safe! And thank you for the link up.

What beautiful photos of the ocean. I am drawn to the sea! I long for it! We didn't have much here in the central part of the state and I am happy for that. And now the weather is gorgeous!

Day 13 looks wonderful! Those swim goggles must have been underwater for a long time.

Thanks so much for sharing this post with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin'. And, sorry so late in getting around to paying you a visit....this week, it's been a slow lazy time.
