I submitted the last tulip photo to Joan over at http://myretirementchronicles.blogspot.com/ Her latest photo contest was themed Red. My blogging friend DJan http://djanstewart.blogspot.com/ had an even more beautiful tulip photo. She received an honorable mention for her entry.
The tulips haven't sprung here in frigid Minnesota. And I'm not even sure if Spring has sprung. It was gosh darn cold here yesterday. But there's always photos. Lots of photos to remember the good times. Sigh...

Such lovely reds!
Thanks for the blog shout out! All of the entries were so wonderful..I loved your photo too...our tulips are buried under 5 inches of snow that we just got today and yesterday. Sigh...mine were only up about an inch but I am worried now that they won't make it due to the spring snowstorm. I encourage all of your readers to consider entering my monthly FREE photo contest for amateur photographers...we have a lot of fun. This month's theme is REFLECTIONS!
Yes, we had the same idea for the Red contest, didn't we? Your pictures are so lovely, and this is the first honorable mention I've received in all the months I've been submitting pictures. I enjoy the contest so much, though. I'm always glad to see when you have put something in there because it's got your special artistic signature!
It's cold in Ohio too, but at least no snow. That makes me hopeful that spring really will come again. Love your squirrel and chipmunk!
I can't begin to wrap my mind around such beauty! I would have tears of joy if I saw this every day. The photos help get me there...thank you!
that red is exquisite! I don't think we are ever going to see tulips in Michigan either. We are supposed to have (ready for this???) SLEET AND SNOW after midnight tonight! I am wondering if it will still be snowing in July!
These red tulips are to die for... hope they flower soon in Minnesota, so you can have the real thing instead of just photos ;-)
I love the photo of the tulips with the trees in the background. A previous post of "feet" was really enjoyed too, Sharon.
BTW...did you receive my address?
I absolutely fell in love with both your and DJan's seas of red tulips. I really thought for sure one of you would win this one.
Our poor tulips keep getting pelted with rain and high winds so they are a little ragged looking.
Beautiful!
Gotta love all that color...
