The Galleria

Guess what? The Galleria is a mall. I spend scant hours at malls, avoiding them like they are paved with compressed covid carbon. But the Bachman's flower show is always worth a sniff and a wander. Especially now, when the news is especially bleak, sending us pictures of unthinkable horrors in Ukraine.

So let's think about saturated colors, luxurious petals, and the savory scents of Spring. Today I didn't travel far. Even so, follow my feet...

Tiny cacti jewels.

Orchid peek-a-boo.

Cotton candy clouds.

Do you remember the candy bling ring?

I am also not a great shopper but you found some delightful flowers in this mall, which I am sure made the visit worthwhile.

I sadly don't support the stores in malls as much as I did when younger. The flagship Macy's in Manhattan always had a magnificent Spring Flower Show similar to this one which was always a wonderful sight to see. The flowers in your mall rival it in color and variety and abundance. It was worth the visit!

Sometimes a mall really is what you need even if you aren’t a shopper (as I too am decidedly not). On rainy winter days in Oregon I used to walk the local mall before work (and before the stores opened). It saved my sanity even though it was never anywhere near as beautifully decorated as yours is.

Beautiful flower displays in this flower show. Sometimes, malls are not only for shopping. There are other attractions too.

What a beautiful riot of colour, I always hope that the organisers know that the hours of design and work that goes into such displays are appreciated!
Have a happy week Sharon!

I don't go to the mall here any more but I would love to see something like this! Beautiful!

Sharon - that is an incredible flower display. I suppose the Mall does it to attract some business? I rarely go in our local Mall, which is very small, but every time I do it is so empty - I suspect on-line shopping is going to kill them off slowly. Thanks for sharing this Spring beauty with Mosaic Monday!

I don't get to malls much since moving to NZ, but they do look gorgeous, especially during holiday seasons. These photos are just magical.
