Spectacular Spring Road Trips: Part 2

I have a new part-time job: Tree Watcher. It is akin to paid chocolate tasting, kitten handling, and seashell collecting in terms of desirability. I'm glad I'm oldish because every year brings a particular acuity to nature and wildlife, fresh eyes, and the ability to travel more thoroughly. Go big or stay home! Follow my feet…

St Croix Falls. Again.

Isn't spring glorious? Being a tree watcher is a good profession, Sharon. This month I have been a weather watcher.

I would love to travel somewhere but at least here in FL there's lots to see in day trips! I love those occupations....I think I'll steal that list! heehee!

Wow! I have filled my eyes with so much eye candy that I fear they will explode! Well done, Sharon. I love it all and will take it easier next time and not take in to some at a time. :-)

Trees refresh the soul is my motto. Great post.

Sharon - ok, how did you get that job, and where do I apply? I must say, you are doing an INCREDIBLE job. Ask for a pay raise; I would! Eye candy abounds in this post. I loved the St. Croix falls photo with all the little tussocks in the stream. And those Canada geese parents have their work cut out for them! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

What spectacular colors! You really captured spring.

Love the swans. In my year plus of birding i haven't seen swans yet.

Spring is a fantastic time to get out and snap some pictures. Great photo of the sandhill cranes. I'm glad you included the map. I was wondering where these photos were taken.

Wonderful Spring! And you made a great career choice for your advancing years (as I am probably old enough to be your mother I can say that). The trees and greenery are fabulous, but those gorgeous grape hyacinths were pure eye candy! Your "backyard" is a pretty good choice for travel this time of year (and great for your new job as well!))
