Whitewashed, Weathered and Worn

When I admitted that I loved to take pictures of old barns in my college photography class, the other students snickered. It was so been there done that, common and basically uncool. Well, I've encountered a few curious cows in my pursuit of barn greatness. And they seemed to be relatively surprised by me and my camera. So obviously that means that some barns have yet to be discovered! The three pictures posted today (see below) are all glamour shots of the same old building from my family farm. My uncle grew up there as well. He told me a story about that old building. That when he was a kid the old gal became infested with rats. So they locked the biggest and baddest Tomcat in there overnight. The next morning the rats were stacked up a mile high by the door. But there is either a crack in his story or it wasn't the door I photographed. Do you see that opening? You could practically fit a whole cow through it!
