Wild Florida

I have a thing for feathers.

Naples Beach

A storm was brewing. We finished picking up things, just in time.

Meanwhile, down by the glades...

wild things slither.

The wild thing.

Other things.
Dirty, rotten things.
Literally.

I love this photo!

The rotting - vultures were feasting on this fish soup. It smelled like the devil went fishing and had a field day.

Black beauty shot!

Other things, were petite and pretty.

Some things smelled nice.

There were creepy-crawly things.

And unusual things. Is this a Caracara?

Yikes!

Things really are wild in these parts.

Wow! Now those are some amazing shots. I'll let you keep the vultures, but all the rest, even including the slithery things, I am in admiration of. :-)

Wild thing...you make my heart... Oooh thanks for the ear worm and the memories ... from not all that long ago! Be careful out there ! The group vulture photo is great ...they’re all just waiting for work.

All are great photos but I'm picking the flower among the stones as my favorite. Fish soup - hahaha..like that caption.

I love Florida and haven't been there in far too long!

That last sign is pretty scary. I can understand being frustrated with people coming on your property, but you don't say something like that… :( Maybe a fence would be better?

Fantastic variety of views! I drive a red truck, but I don't think he's talking about me :)

I spent part of my teen years living in Naples - and quite coincidentally, am headed there tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing those beaches again, though maybe not with storms rolling in. Great photos!

I like your description about the area with the devil being there! I can't imagine what the smell is like, and i wonder why there's a lot of rotting fish there that makes the vultures happy! What happens if they ran-out of rotting bodies? They might try the live ones.

Really nice photos Sharon! That is quite a collection of critters.
I was wondering if the guy who posted the sign calls himself "Red Truck" or if whoever was trespassing was in a red truck...

OK - the fish soup just about made me toss my cookies!!! Yuck! But I can admire the vultures that are going to clean it up! We all have a role to play, right?

Thanks for hosting! Enjoy your weekend.

I have a thing for feathers too. Love the photo of the storm coming in, and the trespassing sign makes me laugh -- though a little worried the person who posted that sign might be serious.
