Seeing Red in Costa Rica

We stopped to see a hawk sitting on a cow’s head, and stayed for scarlet macaw nirvana! As we passed through the rough jungle corridor that passes for a road in the Osa Peninsula, en route from Drake Bay to Dominical, Costa Rica, we hit the motherload of red feathers. The squawk of a scarlet macaw is unmistakable; it’s loud, demanding, and feisty. The good news is that you’ll always know when the large red parrots are nearby. We watched three pairs competing for a nesting spot for quite some time, amid the lush jungle setting.

Follow my feet…

Sealed with a kiss!

Stay tuned!
