Flowers have arrived at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden, even though it is the coldest spring in memory. The skies are grey, my camera lens is cloudy due to neglect, and foul winds threaten to blow my Minnesota-nice temperament all the way to Lover's Key in Florida. (That's where I'd rather be during a cold-ass spring)
Yesterday, we packed our winter corduroy pants and wool jackets, and attempted our first bike ride on the Red Cedar Trail in Wisconsin. We had a sandwich in the rear carrier, windbreakers tied-up to our chins, and a can-do northern resolution.
Bike trail fail.
I curse you spring of nightmares! The forecast is improving this week. Still, I feel grumpy. Follow my feet...
Look at this picture-perfect picnic. Someone is braving the temperatures.
A new memorial, just in time. Plus, other neighborhood sightings.
The dog in the background has what I call the cone of shame.
Spring swallow.

The two with the boat are very pretty shots. The cone of shame....hehehe. We have a blow-up Elizabethan collar for ours and people think it's an aeroplane pillow???? Tho the bandaged paw should give it away.
I hope the spring improves for you as we fall into winter here. Those flowers would surely lift your mood - spring truly is the season of renewal and joy in nature. Stay safe, enjoy your week, and thank you again for the iink up.
The scenes look stunning, a little warmer weather would make it wonderful. Cone of shame LOL!
Your pictures really express spring in all its splendor ! It is my favorite season ! The air smells good and after the dull winter we need a colorful world !
Sharon - good thing we can't feel the temperatures in these pictures, 'cause they sure LOOK like Spring is in full swing. I can appreciate a little grumpiness with the weather. We have been fortunate to be away from home during the coldest April on record, and we are gone again at the moment, getting our beach fix on Grand Cayman! Thanks for sharing your Spring photos with everyone at Mosaic Monday!
I believe you about the awful temperature, but if you hadn't said so, I wouldn't know how cold it was -- the beautiful flowers and that pastel toned picnic scene look like idea spring days. (I'd rather be in Florida too though, but if it makes you feel any better, remember that you wouldn't see any of those pretty spring flowers here in SW Florida.
Lovely spring pictures, that's my favorite season !
A panoply of color and nice sharp image of the swallow. My only traveling lately has been walking along the lake.
Yes, spring was late this year, but when it finally showed up wowzers! Gorgeous pictures.
