Trail Cam Critters: 2020

Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty. ~Albert Einstein

A Wiley Coyote on the run.

We picked up our trail cam footage during a late-season, blueberry run in the wilds of Wisconsin.
Cain's Orchard.
Grape, late-season Elliot blueberries and apple picking on a bucolic hillside.

Bonus forest shot: giant mushroom installation. Nature's artwork.

It's always fun to see what's out there: critters creeping around, darting about, hunting and gathering, slinking and slithering. Big Foot, as always, remains elusive and unseen. Sometimes, we see signs of native Sasquatch activity in the Minneapolis parks system: stick teepees, wind-blown aspen trees, ubiquitous rubbish piles. You know, the usual stuff. Compelling and scary. But never in Wisconsin. What gives? I think the woods of my childhood would be the perfect place for Squatch activity. Still, nothing.

This week, follow their tracks...

We all know the saying 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away',but it's actually those fruits with seeds that do that: grapes and berries.
Grape seeds and blueberry seeds are at the basis of great anti-oxidant health supplements.

How amazing! What a great collection of animals were recorded. I am rather envious of you going on a blueberry run. I love them but they are barely available here.

Your field camera picked up many interesting animals. Sharon.

There is a Bigfoot Museum in Bailey, Colorado. Someday I hope to visit it!

That's a LOT of activity! WOW! Too bad the cams can't pick up Bigfoot! We have the Swamp monster here...and the Skunk ape. You just never know! Sometimes we HEAR a lot of crashing around in the woods. Love that monster mushroom. I've never seen anything like it! WOW!

These are great shots, but my favorite is that gorgeous mushroom display. You show me how it's done with your magic photographic eye, Sharon. :-)

Oh what fun to have a trail cam! You think it is Sasquatch leaving trash in the woods? Nah, any humanoid knows better than that.

My son is thinking of getting a trail cam when they move to their property but it won't campture anything as exotic as yours - probably kangaroos, possums, foxes and a few birds. We certainly should treasure our natural world. Stay safe, enjoy your week and thank you for the link up.
