Welcome to San Juan Del Sur. The official location of this season's reality T.V. show Survivor. The island of Ometepe was another previous Survivor location. And we were just there as well! Plus we drove right by the location of the season in Guatemala. That makes us feel like real adventurers. But thank goodness we were able to dine on the best that Nicaragua had to offer. Instead of rice and boiled water. San Juan Del Sur is a tourist town. So where are they dropping off the new crew of survivalists? Well, I don't know. But there is plenty of wilderness near by. So what does San Juan Del Sur have to offer?
A great beach! I love soft and firm sand for walking. And a little warm Sun and wave action doesn't hurt either.
Ouch! I love this photo.
Beached.
Perched.
Bridging the gap.
Be sure to walk all the way to the end.
And take time to enjoy the view.
P.S. I've created a new photo blog. A place where I can sell photos and photo cards. Click here to check it out. And if you like it, please help me spread the word! It's called My 3rd Eye. That's what my camera is to me.

Lovely images from your trip! I love the pelicans! Thank you for linking up, enjoy your weekend!
Ok...there is so much good stuff here, I don't know where to start! The shadow photo with the sea urchin was too cute! The photos of the beach (and that beautiful ship!) are amazingly gorgeous! The bridge photo is wonderful. And I LOVE that the pelicans are going somewhere in a boat! :-)
Beautiful shots. That shadow picture is perfect! :-)
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos both here and on the other site. Good luck with it!
These are wonderful. My favorite here were: Perched and the last shot.

Those pelicans are something else!! I really enjoyed this post. Of course the birds steal the show, I'm still thinking that the one of the rocky coastline and the ship in the distance is where they filmed part of Jack Sparrow's Pirates of the Caribbean?!!
Thanks for sharing this link over the weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'
So the TV crew lives in complete comfort while the Survivors sweat it out? Fascinating!
Great beach photos, the water must be teeming with life! The shadow with the sea urchin is fun! I love to see the pelicans, especially flying over in formation looking like a bunch of Pterodactyls.
i like your version of staying there better than survivor's roughing it. :)
Love the pelicans on the boat. It is so beautiful there!
Wow!!! That is one gorgeous place to "survive" - I'm off to look at your "new place' -

The beach is beautiful I love that shadow shot.
What a wonderful place for a holiday, not necessarily to be part of 'Survivor'.
Great photos of a gorgeous place! How could you not walk all the way around that beach?
