I've been taking photos of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary for years. And every time I snap a photo of the morning light shining down on the boardwalk I intend to do a painting of it. So far I haven't. But it is on my bucket list.
A green gecko was hanging around.
There were magic orbs.
A hawk looked down from above.
The swamp was in bloom.
Lettuce Lakes was ready for dressing. (It really is called Lettuce Lakes)
A little Blue Heron was selecting a snack.
Lunch! I love this shot!
Another beautiful morning in good old Florida.

Looks like lettuce, for sure! This looks like a super place to find birds. The walkway reminded me of one of my favourite haunts. Too bad it's raining today! Love your photos of the Little Blue Heron.

Hi Sharon. I remember that place (one of our favorites when we're at home in Ft Myers every winter). Thanks for the reminder of home and the great pictures. That would be a lovely painting -- I'd be happy to get such good photos myself.

I love all your shots! Corkscrew is one of my favorite places to visit. That shot of the Little Blue and Crawdad is awesome! Although I probably wouldn't go in the humidity now, I'd love to make a return visit again. Wonderful post. I also love your Red-shouldered Hawk shot....sweet!
