I photographed this osprey at Sudgren Park in Florida last March. But ospreys are pretty dime a dozen down there. This particular fellow (or gal) was having a grand old time splashing and bathing in the water. I guess the living is so easy in FLA that a bird has plenty of recreation time. Just like the tourist folk I guess.

Just chilling out ... lovely image Sharon.
Cool capture of the Osprey!
I know little about ospreys. If this one is a dime a dozen, I'm missing out! :-)
I can't imagine living in a place where these creatures are a dime a dozen. I've only seen photos of them. Yours is wonderful! He's so elegant.
Such a magnificent bird! I'd love to have a chance to photograph one.

Sharon, That is the most creative blog title I've seen in a long time!
An instant classic...
Wow...Stunning. Sharon, your image of the osprey [my favorite raptor...I just finished a pencil sketch of one that I am going to post about on Friday]....is stunning!
Such a great shot! Love the glow of the sun on him & the sand!
strange, never seen them on the ground like this before. Nice to see.
With the current economy, they're now 25 cents a dozen.
The Osprey population here in central Florida has been quite robust in the past few years. Along with the rest of us natives, we all love a cool dip and fish for dinner!
Great photo!
Wonderful birds - we have had some only a hour away from here (which is unusual) - but I cant get to see them! (sad face)
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW
