Edisto Island, South Carolina

Look, a free red Edisto Island cap for Valentine's Day.

Pass.

Do you know what these are? Turtle tracks! The flappy footprints were terrific to see last summer; the turtle did a U-turn back into the sea. Meanwhile, we finished our walk on the beach, discovering natural and unnatural curiosities.

Follow our feet...

Hose shoe crab

A jelly and a pair of swimming goggles.

A jelly and miscellaneous junk was a theme.

A bunny in the brush.

Beautiful red coral for V-day. I wanted to glue it back on the reef.

Sunrise!

We loved the Edisto Island farmer's market.

We loved Edisto Island.

We love cats, travel, and warm beach days.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This sunrise photo is amazing. I love the colours of the sky. And other beach photos are wonderful too and remind me to plan a beach visit.

Interesting photos! I especially liked the turtle tracks and sunrise. The junk photos also look nice.

That coral is amazing. I didn't know it could keep it's colour out of water. We have a lot of bleaching here. Ironically denying climate change while seeing it's damage to the reef. Unbelievably stupid government.

Feels like a treasure hunt on the beach, how fun to find all these things.

Sharon - I have never seen turtle tracks - SO AMAZING! Now I know what to look for ... how interesting to see a bunny on the beach - I would not have expected it. I love the kitty, but I am not so enamored with the trash. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Oh, the beach. A wonderful sight to see!
The coral looks so pretty. And there's a real live, so cute, beach bunny. :)
Have a lovely week.

Those were some sights, although seeing the jellyfish with the trash was so sad. What a sunrise you captured - beautiful. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Very cool to see those turtle tracks. I'm guessing that's kind of a rare thing to see. Looks like your Valentine's Day was a good one!

Sharon those beach scenes are great! I've noticed that stuff we'd think of as litter on a city street is always interesting on the beach. Just thinking of where it might have floated from I guess. Even more interesting in your pictures than in real life. We've explored Edisto Island and it IS great. Our granddaughter and her husband (and later kids) lived in SC for several years when we first had our cottage here and we'd always detour through there on our way out of Florida.

Horse show crabs are so neat. They look like they belong on an alien world.
