Secret Slick Rock Trail

I despise people who go to the gutter on either the right or the left and hurl rocks at those in the center. Dwight D. Eisenhower

It's no secret that most red rock photos look very much alike: swirling and dribbling striations in a similar sea; melting and massive red rocks sculpted from a singular cauldron; jagged teeth from the same red mouth - the devils! Still, every moment of the day and change of light displays new features, new beauty. Always the same, always changing. New shadows. New angles. New tourists like me.

We have a geologist friend. His saying was "Deserts are naked geology." Very true in the US Southwest. - Margy

Sharon - you let your pictures do the talking, and what an amazing job they did! (The quotes were spot on, too.) Thanks for linking up to Mosaic Monday, and enjoy the rest of your week!

The rock formations are stunning and that bird! What a perfect matching outfit it’s wearing. I miss linking up (hard to link when it’s hard to travel. )
