Reach Out and Touch Someone

Don't you wish you could call deceased loved ones?  Especially your Mom.  And what would make it even better would be to talk with them when they were young.  I love this old photo of my Mom.  She is about to pick up the phone.  Maybe the photograph was interrupted by a ringing sound.  Or maybe she is pretending to be a secretary. To me she looks like a starlet on an audition.  I know her dream male lead would have been Gene Autry.

In Memory of my Mom Doris.

Happy Memorial Day!

What a great picture! Somehow it makes me nostalgic, remember when phones plugged into the wall like that? She is beautiful indeed. Happy Memorial Day to all of us who wish we could call our mom. :-)

this is lovely, she was beautiful, resembles my Mom a lot-we had a poster and a quote of Will Rogers in our kitchen spice cupboard, my Mom's favourite..I loved Gene Autry :-)

A fine tribute! Wouldn't have been neat if she had kept a blog?

Yes! I would love to be able to talk to my mom again. When she was alive, she talked some about her younger years, but now that I'm older, I would love to know more. Your mom was a beautiful lady.

She was truly a beautiful woman.
For me, it would be my maternal grandmother. She was the best.
