Every Minnesotan knows what it means when you say the lake is out. It means the ice has melted. Ding, Dong the winter is dead! And that happened this weekend at Lake Harriet where I live. Finally. We even had our first picnic. So I decided to post what is probably the most beautiful lake I've ever seen. In honor of the big ice out. This lake never freezes. But it's beauty is frozen in time. It sits in the scenic Orosi Valley of Costa Rica.

These floating pads lent a magical quality.

Another breathtaking perspective. Lakes are so much better melted.

That middle picture is indeed magical. I think I see some fairies sitting on those "islands," too. :-)
Indeed, lakes are much better melted!
I like that saying--the lake is out. It's been freed of the ice.
Your pictured lake is so lush--so much life going on there! Great photos.
I like the expression "the lake is out" .. kind of like the sun coming out. It is indeed a magical spot and would draw me to explore.

Where I live, Spring is when the river breaks. Yay for warm weather!! Beautiful photos.
Yay you have spring (I'd never heard that saying 'the lake is out' but it makes perfect sense!).
And while your tropical lake pictures are beautiful and amazing, it has to be even more special to enjoy your Minnesota ones after the long wait for them!
Wonderful photos! What a beautiful place!
Wow! I hope everyone enlarges your photos to see all the gorgeous details. That is one lovely lake, I can see why this one is your favorite.
Also I wanted to tell you about a logo design contest going on in the month of April. Some info and a link are on my pet blog today. Don't know if you would be interested but I would love to see your take on the design.
Woof! Woof! It's been a cold and long winter in Minnesota. I bet the sunshine feels good. Beautiful lake. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Yes, it is a beauty! I'm sure glad the lakes in my area don't freeze...
