Nicaragua is making news as it battles hurricane winds this week. We'll be traveling there this winter with fingers crossed for moderate breezes, lively jungles, sandy beaches and lots of local color. But between a vigorous fault line sprouting volcanoes like a loaded strand of Christmas lights, the potential calamity of earthquakes, and now, 100 mile per hour winds, well, are we doomed? I hope not. We've been to Central America 9 times. And we want number 10 to be memorable in a good way. A colorful way....
All of these portals were taken on a photo safari in colonial Granada, Nicaragua.
I'll be back visiting blogs nest week. I hope I've turned your Black Friday into a rainbow!

Love your doorways! I look forward to more wonderful pictures from one of my favorite photographers! :-)
Winderful to see the many colouors and diersity of these lovely doors Sharon. Have a lovely weekend.
Nature's beauty is everywhere on the planet. It's cruelty too. I suppose Nicaragua is not different, in that respect, than any other country.
Enjoy the beauty and pray not to encounter the cruelty (hurricanes, earthquakes, lava eruptions, etc...).
Superb doors, both colors and design!
These are wonderful! I love the colours.

I have a thing with colorful door. I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to them. Nicaragua is the only Central American country I have not visited. In fact, I haven't been to the area in a long time. Hope that will change soon. #TPThursday
Such vibrant colours - I can't wait to travel there. This is your 10th trip - that is amazing. Look forward to more posts.
And I thought I was the only one taking door shots! I love these!

Love, love, love these amazing doorways and such colorful walls! We have some of this here in Tucson, and I am sure most sunny Hispanic areas have them, and they are just so beautiful! Really enjoyed your share!
I am three days away from loading the U-Haul, four from heading north! Very excited! Everyone has taken me at my word that I am on a break due to the move...I did a Thanksgiving post and didn't get a single comment! Not even Mom! :-) I know you have been traveling. Can't wait to see future posts. Still won't be on here regularly for a while, but I check in when I can. Have an awesome week!
