Asleep

All of the characters in this illustration should be sleeping. But only one is. Can you find him? Of course you can. Asleep is the http://www.illustrationfriday.com/ theme today. I used this illustration for my last promotional postcard. And I better get crack'in on my next one. No rest for the wicked artist. (that's me)

Of course it's obvious, but I think I see two of them asleep... I've seen this one before, and I love it just as much today as I did then!!

Since I have your enchanting postcard on my desk, I see that little snoozer every day.

Feels very familiar... all would be quiet in the house, Snowy asleep by my feet while I work on my photos and blog, but the slightest stir and she will be up and ready to follow me ;-)

Thank you very much for sending so many purrs and headbutts to make us feel comforted and much loved.

This illustration is so peaceful. Wish we were lying down there.

I am astonished that this didn't sell in the shops. I am even more amazed that you went so far into painting on glass before you stopped.

I used to teach art and commercial art and always told my students to get a regular job, in the beginning, and let that pay the bills and use whatever time you have to establish markets and get the brand around.

Those that did have become very successful. Those that didn't are working at nickel and dime jobs eating their hearts out because they are way past their prime now and unless they turn into a copy of Grandma Moses, they won't be successful.

Your work is very nice. By that I mean I would consider you for an illustrator job if I was still hiring and firing. I don't do that these days but you would be hired.

I wonder how successful it would have been had you gone to Lowe's or Home Depot and bought some new (but slightly damaged) hollow core doors and made these like glass windows in churches. One in a door. One in a child's bedroom door. Things like that. Sell the whole door...

I decided to follow you to see how far you go with this.

The dog is the one that is sleeping but I think the racoon is going to fall asleep too very quickly, he looks too comfortable there :)
