It's been fun to play along with the weekly themes over at http://www.illustrationfriday.com/ As usual I'll look the word up in the dictionary to get a broader understanding of it. Toy is today's theme. And the dictionary gave me the idea for using one of my toy dog illustrations. Even though I did Big Eyed Dog a few years ago, it's still a favorite. I always describe him as keeping his eye on all my other illustrations. Good dog.
P.S. If you head over to http://theydrawandcook.com/recipes/chicken-with-olives-figs-and-balsamic-vinegar-by-sharon-wagner You can see my latest illustrated recipe. More on the recipe and winner of my tie contest next week!

I like dogs and you seem to have captured this one perfectly. Is this the famous Taco Bell dog?

Hey Sharon! Sorry you didn’t win the fig recipe (You should have!) Your recipe and illo are fantastic! Love that chicken’s expression! Your big-eyed dog is terrific! God bless!
Funny dog! love the colors in it. Love your fig recipe too. Glad to see you're feeling playful with your art.
I am pretty sure this is a mostly chihuahua kind of dog, and I can also be pretty sure it's a well loved one, too! Thanks for the sweet drawing, Sharon.
Cute, and a little creepy... his extra-bulgy right eye keeps following me around my studio! Nice composition, and design choices with the bg colors!
Those eyes are amazing!
I can see why this is a favorite. Love that beautiful face, love this painting.
you've totally captured the chihuahua essence!
