Key West Walk-About

You'll start your walk-about at the Hemingway House, preferably after an infusion of gin with a splash of tonic. Being drunk is not only the perfect nod to Hemingway himself, but a sensible way to deal with fear of covid. During your drunk-about, you'll stumble into a cemetery, pass many haunted homes, and quite possibly, if you're lucky, end up at a good restaurant or the pier for a sunset look-see.

Follow our feet...

Do you see his slime trail?

Orchids and chickens are prolific on Key West.

That sign post is hilarious - why condoms? High aids or unwanted pregnancies? Love the wife and iguana. I hope the favourite wife is the current one at least....
Sunset is gorgeous too.

I told Bill not too long ago that I wished I could still drink the way I used to when we were younger -- I could use the attitude adjustment now that we're able to get out more but are still a little leery of people after all our cocooning. ... thanks for the Key West tour -- it's been a while for us.... (I think it was back when I could do the above thing!).

Sharon - love the slug with the slime trail. Should it have a shell? Maybe it was heading to the conch store!!! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

G and T, yes, please! I've mentioned before, I would love to go back to Key West, I was too young to really appreciate it when I went.
But no travels to the US in our plans as the US border is not open to us Canadians although we have opened ours to Americans.

Greetings and Salutations! I love the sign. I love the cats Hemingway did too. Mailbox is a piece of modern art for sure, liking it. I choose to add this place to my "bucket list." Be safe.

So many wonderful photos! I love Hemingway's old typewriter, the old rusty doorknob, and especially the old bottle collection.
