Miami: Part 2

Someone has a sense of humor!

"Walking around Miami is like an African safari: there's fear and exhilaration with every footfall, leggy gazelles and giraffes parading around naked, and a giant water source that attracts thousands of wild animals." - Sharon Wagner, extreme travel blogger, goofy camera nerd, Miami fashion failure.

I chose perseverance.

Do you see the swimming fish?

Cruise ship hiatus.

Wet and wild! I love this photo.

“Having Miami in a state like Florida makes no sense. You may as well put Los Angeles in the middle of Arkansas. It’s not connected, it’s just bright and loud and big and… there.” – Caspar Vega, Southern Dust

Where can I read more by that Sharon whom you quote up there? What an excellent observer and travel writer she is , I would follow her anywhere! )). Loved all of this, both quotes included. Except for the sign maybe. I know I should be glad the city is watching out for people in my age range, but damn that sign is ageist! I’m old, but I can still walk unaided (as of today, anyway).

Great photos. I only ever passed through Miami. Always meant to stop overfor a few days but never did.

I haven't had the chance to stroll around Miami--I've only connected planes there to go to Key West, but it looks like an interesting and fun place to explore!

Sharon - I love the Art Deco architecture. Stunning. And yes, those wet parrots are a sight to see! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Oh Miami - you look a lot of fun! I especially love your partying parrots all scruffy after a wet and wild night out! Your mask photo made me smile. We have a big fine if out without masks here in Thailand. I've just seen a lass with the biggest mask going and the tiniest bikini, I swear the mask was bigger than both pieces but together!
Have a lovely day.

Oh, I would love to visit Miami some day. That would have to be when hubby retires as it is such a long drive or us. The farthest we've ever made it to Florida was the Orlando/Tampa area. Great pictures and great quotes.
