Red Wing: 2020

The view from Waconia Cliff.

My month of road-tripping continues with Red Wing, Minnesota. Ever since covid pinned us indoors like hens in a chicken coop, outdoor trails have been bonkers. I hated all the foot traffic before coronavirus, often grumbling about rude pedestrians that won't share trails. I even read an article in the paper about over-crowded trails after covid. Apparently, our outdoor habits are being studied. We failed. Why can't people move over? Sigh. The moral of the story is we had the above trail all to ourselves last Fall. There wasn't one other human. Halleluiah! Follow our feet...

The one with the branches and leaves dangling in front with the church in the background is my favourite. :)

I love that quote and definitely finish my hikes with my eyes sparkly! How amazing to see the Eagle and the views with Fall foliage are beautiful. We don't have very many people hiking or walking the trails here. We usually don't see anyone when we go out. I don't know how people stay inside their houses ALL the time! I would go nuts! Enjoy your week!

Sharon - Red Wing looks like a very quaint town. I love the third shot with the sailboat. We are very fortunate that most hikers in Montana are very trail-savvy and gracious. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

I'm glad that more people are out and about, giving some sort of "normal" living appearance. Staying cooped up inside and social distancing creates fear and anxiety. Unhealthy habits as well.
Yes, when outside we should be courteous but I don't think corona has made rude folks, they are just out more.

Gorgeous views and photos. I know what you mean about the trails being bonkers. I've never seen Joshua Tree National Park as crowded as it is now. Even so, it's very easy for me to find off-trail hikes where I don't see another human. I'm really thankful for those opportunities!

We tried going to some parks in November thinking the cold would keep the people away, but more people where there than before coronavirus, and we couldn't find a mask on anyone. We just stay home now. Your photos show a very beautiful place. Take care and enjoy the holiday.
