Above, my sweet in-laws pose under a beautiful, blooming arbor. "Human beings aren't orchids; we must draw something from the soil we grow in." Sara Jeanette Duncan
I bought a new, fall orchid and it's sitting on my windowsill like a fragile goddess. I have many dormant gods and goddesses. For months, they're nothing more than wood chips, spindly roots and floppy, green puppy ears. Then, something magical happens: they bloom like a Georgia O'Keeffe painting.

So beautiful! And I love that picture of the adorable couple under the arbor. Your in-laws look like fine people. :-)
Lovely picture of your in-laws, and that of your hubby!
I always prefer nature as a background to people.
Love the photo of your in laws...they look like they live life to the fullest! And the orchids and flowers are beautiful. We took some wildflower photos yesterday and when you look close, they look like tiny orchids. Hugs!
The orchids are beautiful.
The blooming arbor is simply gorgeous.

ohmy, the Orchid Arbor! wow! I wish I could visit this Botanical Garden. Thank you for sharing the pictures :)
Such pretty and charming shots!
Those orchids are STUNNING!!
Sharon - I could spend all day in a hothouse, photographing orchids. An endless variety, and each one so intricate and unique. Like humans, I suppose! Thanks for bringing the glory of the botanical garden to everyone at Mosaic Monday.
Wonderful photos !!!!!
We love that garden! Someday again ....I hope
What gorgeous flowers! I could spend a lot of time taking photos there :)
I am glad you joined us at 'My Corner of the World' this week!!
Beautiful flowers in the gardens. Love the portrait of your in-laws. I just got a new book today for my Kindle. It's a light police crime mystery set in Newfoundland. "A Perfect Storm" is in a series by Mike Martin. I've read his books since we vacationed in Newfoundland several years ago. His plots are less violent than most crime books and I enjoy his characters. - Margy
Thank you for your comment on my blog. Your in-laws are so precious together. The few times I bought myself flowers, they were always orchids.
I love those water lily flowers! The quote by Myrtle Reed is wonderful. Have a great weekend!
