Kraft Azalea Park

We finally visited Kraft Azalea Park in posh, Winter Park, Florida. Getting there is half the fun, since the homes along the route are palatial - my mouth was agape the whole time. I've always been a sucker for residential grandeur. Plus, the park was beautiful too. The towering Cypress trees were dripping with moss.

Look at this texture!

An Osprey above.

There were tufted treasures in sky - nesting white egrets! It was hard to get a good photo, since they were actively building nests and fluffing their regal feathers, but I captured a few good ones...

"Look at me!"

Did you know it's the year of the bird? 100 years ago, in 1918, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act was passed. It is considered one of the most important bird protection laws ever. I'm so happy to see these regal feathers happily flying in a tree, instead of decaying in a hat box.

And then there were the bright pink Azaleas. What took us so long?

Beautiful post, love azaleas. Can't believe I have never made it to this garden. Can't be that far from me. Adding it to my list.

The azalea flowers and the white birds are good enough reasons to visit the park and take photos. Lovely!

Hello!:) The "LOOK AT ME" picture is breathtaking. Beautiful architectural, texture, and flower shots, but the White Egrets are my favourites.:)

Omigosh! I loved the shots looking up at the sky and the 'architecture'. We need more shots like this! And then the egrets!!! Who wouldn't be attracted to that display? Thank you!

Gosh, I've never seen Egrets display their tail feathers like that. I love the beauty of grand gardens too.

I've not been to the Azalea Park but I absolutely love Winter Park. What a fun little place. Going to have to give the Azalea Park a try.

Azaleas and osprey, and beautiful houses. A drive doesn't get much better than that, does it? Your photos are fabulous.

Wow those are beautiful pictures Sharon.... This place is going on my must visit list for next season. We don't even see azaleas in this part of Florida and I miss them. We enjoy ogling in those kind of neighborhoods too... have you noticed that you never see people around those homes (Unless they are obviously the garden crew)?

Those birds and flowers are just showing off! Nice.
