Street Scenes from Leon, Nicaragua. Part II

I absolutely love this photo of a squished casa, crumbling in the Nicaraguan city of Leon. Have you been waiting for part 2 of my photo safari? Probably not. Even so, the decadent decay has arrived...

It wouldn't be much of a city without pigeons.

Fabulous color.

The world's best rum.

Can anyone translate? I hope someone didn't lose their grocery list.

Patina and texture from my favorite restaurant, El Bodegon. The mojito slushies were to die for.

A spruce up at a colorful church. See below.

Rainbow patterns in the sky.

There's so much color in the cities of Central America.

Part 3 coming soon to a computer or phone near you.

You said it: "there's too much color...". We are definitely attracted to color, and the colors displayed in your post are terrific. As for pigeons, your remark reminds me that I've seen a lot of them seated on a fence line, not in a city but on a farm, an alpaca farm in Negev(desert of Israel).

I am loving your Nicaragua series. What is in Leon? I'm planning on spending a week in a resort in Costa Rica in a few months and the resort offers a day trip to Nicaragua and I'm carefully thinking about that.

Oh the colors! So much fun. The stuff for sale (fruit and booze) even more fun probably.

They certainly aren't shy about using lots of color (on everything). I love it. Fantastic grouping of beautiful photos Sharon!

I love how you can find the colorful beauty even in decay.

Hello!:) The bright colours are accentuated by having the deep blue sky as a backdrop, ...I don't think I have ever seen a sky with such a vibrant blue. All very colourful and delightful images.:)

I like the decay as well, along with the bright colors that seem to be prevalent in this part of the world!! Really some great photos here.

Hey, I was waiting for the second part for your street scenes! Well, really like your photos. There are so many towns in Central America with the same aesthetic. Lots of memories from this one! #TPThursday

I am a great admirer of colour and always wear colourful clothes. I know I would love it there - probably not in the squished house though.

There's a town in Ohio where all the houses are white and all the roofs are green. I think those residents would stroke out in Nicaragua? Personally, I'm loving the colors though wondering how it is the pigeon has a better home than the people with the squished casa.
