We were leaving the Richfield Farmer's Market this summer when we spotted this hawk. He really found a regal and lofty post to hunt from.
This little bird was sitting on a near by branch. Do you know what he is?
An itch or a scratch.
There's only room for one foot hold at a time.
What an intense and beautiful raptor.
P.S. Be sure to head over to my new writing link. The Chorus of the Crows You can follow my path to publication from the very beginning. And if you are a writer (and many bloggers would consider themselves as such) or know of an aspiring or seasoned writer, please share this new link. I'm hoping to highlight guest writers that might have some good tips to share about their own journey.

Wonderful shots! I am in awe of all raptors. Now off to check out that new link. :-)
raptors are handsome things!
Very nice shots - I often think that birds of prey must have a sense of landscape in their brains - they do like a regal perch!

Gorgeous series of images of the Hawk. I will check out the link and also send it to a friend Sue. We have just written 2 shot=rt sketches.
That last image, showing off it's namesake, the red tail...absolutely beautiful. The lighting couldn't be more perfect. Wonderful images.

Oh what wonderful hawk images! Great shots! Gonna head over to your writing blog...
Cool hawk studies... You were as patient as he is, snapping all those behaviors. That little bird must have either been very brave or very foolish. It's good that you are sharing your writers journal .... It will help a lot of bloggers!
Hello!:) Oh, these are wonderful captures of the Redtailed Hawk.
I haven't seen many red-tailed hawks this year, which is strange. Lucky you!!
They're so regal, aren't they? And you've captured him well!

Great photos - the birds look magnificent against that very blue sky!
These birds of prey are my favorites. I like cardinals, finches, woodpeckers, etc., but nothing embodies flight like hawks and eagles. Very nice image.
Gorgeous hawk photos!
Beautiful clicks :)
