Catie Couric Confessions

Catie Couric

1)  I'm sometimes grossed out by all of Akua's dander.  His nickname is dander boy.  I hate it when his back is full of specks and loose fur and he guilts me into petting him.  I can only hold off for so long.  And I'm usually wearing black.  My pants end up looking like a head and shoulders commercial.  Gross!

2)  Sometimes I act like I'm sleeping when Akua runs into the bedroom looking for love.  The cat mom equivalent of a headache.

3)  Sometimes I wonder how long the water bowl has been empty.

4)  The other day I caught Akua licking my toast and I ate it anyway.  I was grossed out but figure I've consumed a lot of cat back wash anyway.  They persistently try to drink out of every water glass in the house.  I'm still alive.

5)  My husband stated that Akua gets 10 times more massages than him.  He's right!

I probably have a hairball somewhere inside of me! :-)

The thing I hated about the time I lived with cats, was their uncanny ability to barf on the carpet in the night, right in the common walkways, so when you had to get up to go to the bathroom in the night, you stepped in cold wet catbarf! YUCK!

I would tolerate it all if I could have a cat. My husband won't allow it, and we cannot have one in this apartment complex anyway. But I am a cat person and have had many during my single years. :-)

With two golden retrievers we long ago outlawed wearing black here :)

Cats do work their way into our hearts. Our cats like to drink milk when we pour it for dinner they want to be right there at the glasses. - Hubby's cat likes back massages.

Our Maggie drinks out of my water glass, but also drinks out of the toilet. I wonder how many times I've taken a drink after her toilet/water glass routine. Ewww.

I'm still laughing about the found cat. One of the benefits of catching up on a bunch of your posts at one time is that they keep boosting my mood one after the other. Thanks!

Cats eat worse things than that and seem to do just fine! I don't know what food would taste like without a little cat dander or hair in it.

One of our cats is so smart and so fast. She gets a taste of almost everything we eat. Whether we offer it to her or not.
