Mother Duck

We were walking at Lake Harriet last weekend and this mother duck crossed the road with her newest batch.  They journeyed from the swamp side across the busy road and into the lake.  Probably for the 1st time since they were born. The evening light was reflecting on the water.  So I hoped they would swim over towards sunset...

And they did.  I managed to snap a few streaky light filled silhouettes before they exited the frame.

Lovely ducks! Nice to see you too. I'm working, and doing a Masters so these days I only visit people who leave comments on the blog. Will get my life back in 2 years.

Darling ducklings! Both photos are beautiful, but the second one--I could look at that all day. Stunning!

Splendid little birds.

In the village I was born in there were road signs warning people about "Ducks Crossing" - and the picture on the sign looked like your pictures!

Thanks for the link to WBW.
