No, we don't live on a berry farm. We live on a tiny city lot. But we are blessed with a bountiful raspberry patch. And we foraged for all of the black raspberries. Black raspberries are my favorite berry. And the thought of waiting until next Summer for more brings a big ole sniff. But I will say that I'm happy to be off berry picking duty. And as for berry eating, you will have to check back next Monday. I'm posting all the goodies that I made with this year's crop. And you can leave a comment for which dessert you'd like a recipe for on Wednesday.
But guess what we were doing yesterday? Picking blueberries...

Oh man, my taste buds are puckering just looking at those pics! And this after finding all the berries at our local foraging site gone after seeing them green just two weeks ago. I had no idea they'd ripen and disappear so fast. :(
Holy berry harvest, Batman! They look like such beautiful specimens aside from the sheer volume. The giant raspberry header at the top of the page is really cool too! Dang, I need to find a berry patch.
Those are fabulous. Enjoy every tiny one. Beauty in color and flavor. Yummmm. Wish I could pop over for a few.
oh my goodness! delicious!!! i pay big bucks at my grocery store for these!
Wow! I am sitting here eating some homemade raspberry freezer jam while I am looking at your pictures! It's like 3-D!! :-) Or scratch 'n sniff!
Oh dear I do miss this stuff. There are no berries in Malaysia except for very expensive imported ones that have usually been iced so much that there is no taste left. I shall head for the ice-cream!
One word-- YUM!
All those berries are making our mouths water. We love all those berrys!

You lucky girl ! I could eat them all !
Oh, so Yummy! I love to mix fresh berries in with my yogurt.
reminds me of the summers of my youth!
All those raspberries in the city? How neat! My former English teacher(now 70ish but with the energy of a triathlete) invites me to her farm every summer to pick all the blueberries I want. My freezer is always half full of them.
Oh yum, those all look delicious. It looks like you had a great crop this year. I cut back all of my raspberry bushes last fall so all I got this year was a small handful. Guess I'll have to wait till next year.
