I was never really sure if I liked Belly Lagossa's perfectly circular and bug eyed peepers. Belly was illustrated for local writer Beth Solheim. He is a character in her series of mystery books. And it is a mystery to me as to why I painted those giant orbs so round. They seem to pop right off his goofy (intentional) face. But Belly's eyes did give me a fun entry for www.illustrationfriday.com
And in other news. I've been having trouble getting aROUND to commenting on my favorite blogs. I don't know if it is my computer or blogger. But whenever the blog asks for an ID or html the link doesn't open. Weird. But don't worry. I'm still making my rounds!

A post all about ROUNDS. I think his eyes look just right, I wouldn't have noticed unless you mentioned it, how ROUND they are.
I do hope you are able to get aROUND without any problems soon! :-)
What an adorable, happy face. Really great job. I think the eyes are perfect for his cute face.
A perfect post for illustration Friday. I think Belly is adorable, great character. I love the little hairs on tail and face. Cute detail Sharon.

Your illustrations always look perfect to me.
I love the bulging eyes in the cartoon, but not so much in real life when it comes from in-breeding.
Love those big round eyes and the background color. WooF!
Oh my what big eyes you have! The better to stare deeply into, my dear! I love this dog! Lol! :) Oh, I love this butterfly banner, too!
You and Beth are working on a project together? That's awesome!!
