Granola People

There really isn't a set in stone recipe for granola. You just need to start with at least 10 cups of your favorite oats, seeds and nuts. But here is what I used.

6 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups pecans
3/4 cup walnuts
3/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
2 tbsp ground flax seeed
2 tbsp wheat germ

Mix these dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Then heat the following in a medium sized pan to boiling.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup canola oil
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp vanilla

Add heated sugar mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.

Line 2 baking pans with parchment paper and spread 1/2 of granola on each pan.

Bake for around 20 minutes at 350.

When cool you can add your favorite fruit mixture. I use 1 bag per batch. (split between the two pans) Which I store in large ziploc bags. But you can use 2 if you like things really sweet. Enjoy
!

I eat Greek yogurt sprinkled with muesli almost everyday. I will definitely make some granola using your recipe, Sharon.
