Have A Meow Meow Christmas!
I painted this illustration in November for a holiday card contest. My last minute entry didn't win. But I recieved 48 votes in less than 2 days thanks to my friends and fellow MNSCBWI members. I should be sending it out as my Christmas card. Maybe next year. I definately think it's a hoot. In fact my cat Akua has already climbed the tree this year. Hana and Akua are still full of youthful shenanigans. In March they will turn two. I wonder if they'll calm down a bit? NOT!

I really ADORE this picture! Filled with animal antics who love showing how cute they are. I feel a little sorry for the pooch, though!
That poor pup, out in the cold watching all the fun. Probably best he stay outside, can you imagine how much more crazy it would be with him in there?

That's the tree at my house, I had
three of my cats in it this morning.
I am happy they don't swing on the
lights like that! lol
What a great Christmas card this would be. I love all the cats doing their thing. I can't tell if the little dog wants to come in and join the fun or if he is glad he's not in there with all the kitties.
I voted. Sorry you didn't win! I really hate those kinds of "contests" where popularity counts instead of talent and artistic merit.
