Flovember: Sunsets

Day 25

“I could never stay long enough on the shore; the tang of the untainted, fresh, and free sea air was like a cool, quieting thought.”” –Helen Keller

Day 26

Day 27

My favorite Tervis glass.

Day 28

Day 29

Do you see a face?

Day 30

The End.

“Ocean is more ancient than the mountains, and freighted with the memories and the dreams of time.” –H.P. Lovecraft

Surprise! I'm posting early again.

I need to vent. The month's lows:

After eight months of hospital ventilators (literally) and record setting deaths to businesses and humans alike, people still don't get it. I've been trying to stay as safe as possible at my Florida digs. Elderly people live at my rental. Even so, there are clueless people that don't wear masks. I'd like to write a revenge fantasy, or Dystopian tale set in a not-so-futuristic world, where people that don't mask-up are arrested for attempted murder. Nuff said.

The month's highs: bird watching from the balcony. Sometimes, I expect their wingtips to strafe the railing of my deck. Ospreys, vultures, Ibis and pelicans soar spirals around my building. If you lived near the airport and planes flew this close, you'd hate it. Here, it's heaven. Other highlights include: Waffle House waffles, Mr. Tequilas, Big Cypress gin, salty sea air and wispy clouds that look like feather dusters. Sunrise. Sunset. The sea. Repeat.

It's not cold.

But it will be soon.

P.S. Do you have time to read 500 words? Then check out my submissions to a fun, monthly writing contest called Furious Fiction. They have curious prompts that need to be followed. Click here!

Gorgeous sunset images. I love the sand dollar and shell. I found the raccoon face, really cute. The virus would be under control, if only people would wear the face mask. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your new week! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

I wouldn't have seen the raccoon until you asked me to look for a face. Lovely pictures, every one, just as always. :-)

Our Covid cases are climbing here and people still don't get it or just don't care. Very pretty pictures.

Lovely beachy photos, Sharon. I do miss walking along the Atlantic shore.

I do agree it is sad about some people not wearing masks or doubting the seriousness of the novel coronavirus and taking risks. I feel it is keeping the virus counts very high because of this behavior.

I spotted the cute raccoon. :) Gorgeous sunset photos!

I totally understand your frustration with idiots not wearing masks. In Canada, people who do not cooperate with masks, etc. because of Covid have been called Covidiots.

I loved the face in the bushes - I'd really like to see one of them for real one day.

There is always so much to see on a beach.

Cheers - and stay safe - Stewart M - Melbourne

Oh, your photos make me want to come to Florida more than ever! I loved the little face in the tree!

I'm with you on people following the simple and easy protocols. Their non-compliance makes it worse for the rest of us.
I had to look twice for the little raccoon - he blends in pretty well. Love the crab pic too.

I like how you break out your photos by adventure day. I didn't see the face on first view. What a great capture!

Beautiful shots!! I'm jealous, we didn't have a vacation this year.

I totally get your frustration with people who don't buy into basic precautions.

I always enjoy the seashore, too, even though I am never far from it.
Birdwatching is a wonderful thing to be doing when you can't be at the beach :)

It's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!

What beautiful sea pictures. I only found a perfect sand dollar one time in all my beach adventures. They are quite the treasure.

Beautiful fireplace!
The butterflies remind me of "the Valley of the Butterflies",a magic place near the city of Rodos, on the greek island of Rhodes.

As for Covid-19, vaccines are on the way, but I don't see any intention of vaccinating children, and youngsters under 16 are said to be asymptomatic spreaders of the virus.
