Eight Birds and a Howler Monkey: Part One

If I was a bird I'd be a crow: social, sassy, and super smart, with strong black wings to shoot me to the heavens. I wouldn't have the charm, charisma and vocal cords that humans want to cage-up and coo at like their living room is a private zoo. Poo I say!

I like my birds wild.

Here's a sample of beautiful Costa Rica birds...

I bid you farewell with an old-fashioned mooning.

Such beautiful, colorful birds! I have to admit I also like crows--they are smart and social.

Sharon - I suspect that seeing these beauties is "normal" for locals, but for the rest of us, it would be a bird-watching extravaganza. Such colors! Thanks for sharing with everyone at Mosaic Monday!

I have visited Costa Rica three times but would return in a heartbeat. Panama (two visits) is great too.

It would be so amazing to have these as "backyard birds". I would love to go on a birding tour of Costa Rica.
