What's so special about this Costa Rica Charlie Brown tree?
It harbored the cutest little nest. And it was in use!
My husband was very concerned that I would disturb the nest with my obtrusive photography. Doesn't he know me by now? I always zoom in from a safe distance. The birds and animals are much less likely to run/fly off. And of course I don't want to disturb them. Good grief hubbie. Have you met me yet? This little one was waiting for Mom.
Here she is. I love how she is cocking her head, curious about her new found paparazzi.
The feeding session.
And the plea for More, More, More!
This is my first Costa Rica post from our 2015 trip. Although, I included my new header shot in a group Scarlet Macaw post earlier this spring. I can't wait to share more of the exotic beauty, rolling landscapes, turquoise seascapes, fiery sunsets, golden sunrises, splashy flora and gentle fauna that we experienced this year.
There are the grand travel experiences that overwhelm you, but if you keep your eyes open, there are the lowly Charlie Brown trees that charm you.
I hope you'll stay tuned for more over the coming year.
Next year it's Panama!
Happy Memorial Day!

"Charlie Brown tree" - very funny!
What kind of birdies are those, if you know?

Aww, sweet! Seems to me that the parents are used to people if they chose a spot by the pool so I doubt your photography upset them much :)
So exciting Sharon! The trip in itself is a wonderful delight and I can't wait to see more! But, the birds in their nest....just such a sweet gift of nature for the patio! :-)

Nice domestic images! Open views of a nest like this are a photographic gift!

I remember some other "Charlie Brown" something or other recently. What a good eye to spot the nest and be able to zoom in enough to see the mom feeding the hungry mouths, so cute. The sunsets sound lovely, it must be beautiful.
Such beautiful clicks, love the feeding photograph! I always tell my husband - bird photographers have so much patience!!! :)

What wonderful shots! I like your Charlie Brown tree and the little birds in it.
Awww!!! Thanks so much for sharing, Sharon!!! Love how you capture nature without intruding! It has been 15 years since my Costa Rica trip - -what a truly magical place! Can't wait for more posts!
The Charlie Brown tree holds such preciousness...thank you for sharing!
Such a sweet mommy bird/baby bird moment. The adults certainly stay busy keeping the little ones fed.
Great photos and how lovely to find a nest with young in it so close to people. It looks as if they were not at all disturbed by you photographing them.
Oh how sweet! And a good reminder to look for the small wonders as well as the grand. (Although I'm looking forward to seeing them too!)
