I admit it. I'm all about the big flashy birds. And LBBs and MBBs don't even get named. If you are a birder you know that LBB stands for little brown bird. And I'm so lazy that I coined MBB for medium brown birds as well! I'm sure this little guy is a song sparrow, wren or something. I just don't know. Well, we spotted our LBB/MBB at one of the most underrated and wonderful of Florida hiking trails. The Crew trails near Naples, Florida. They are on the North side of Corkscrew Swamp. And you'll have the whole peaceful place to your self. And it is very diverse. You start off in a jungle of palmettos and wind your way through an Oak Savannah ending in a pine forest. See for yourself.

If you want you can play hide and seek. There is no one around to laugh at you. Except some LBBs!

It's beautiful out there. And the LBB is also pretty cute, Sharon. I especially like that big creature you caught in the last shot, though. :-)
Beautiful. Your header takes the cake though! Awesome!
Thanks, I learned a new term for all those little birds that mostly look alike to me. Wonderful photos!
that looks like a wonderful place to go for a walk-your l/mbb's made me laugh. The tree bark in the last photo is interesting, is it sick or just has bad acne? I see one bump that doesn't look like acne :-)
That's a sweet LBB! Looks like a great place to hike. I do think the cougar print would have given me pause. :-)
Wow gorgeous photos of a place I would love to see. Cougar print is very cool. B
The LBB's can be so hard to id! I enjoyed this post. It brings back memories of my Corkscrew visit. Love the cute Wren! Thanks for linking up to Saturday's Critters!
Oh my gosh- such beautful photos- your world is beautiful!

Looks like a wonderful spot. You got some fine photos. I like the LBB. But that cougar print.. that's made by one GBK! (great big kitty!)
a lovely location and boardwalk, even better with lbb's and all
Don't you just love the understated LBB - Just had to drop by to admire your Wren!

Amazing pictures:)
I found your illo for sneeze, I love it! Thanks for the comment:)
It does indeed look like a beautiful trail. Very nice photos Sharon!
It's a beautiful LBB and I love the thistle too.
When we started really looking at birds we used to call them LBJs (for little brown jobs)....back when those initials were in the news for some different reason or other.
Your trail here is really part of our extended neighborhood and we must walk it soon!!
I love those Carolina Wrens. It is amazing how they can throw their voice and seem to be underfoot when 20 yards away!
Lovely post for WBW, great details!
I had a Carolina Wren spend a winter with me a few years ago. They are not common in this area, so I assumed he got blown off course while trying to travel south. He was so much fun, full of spunk and very talkative. I bought him some meal worms to help him stay warm and he did fine. When spring came, he was gone. I had hoped he would stay, but there were no mates around so I know he had to go. Love your little LBB,

What a lovely place to explore. Love your little wren!
I posted about the 'everyday' birds today, too! The may not be flashy, but they are loyal!
Beautiful scenery - and I agree about all those LBB's - much too hard to photograph and name!
ahh but there is always that place for the LBBs and of course your newly christened MBBs
Hi Sharon. just a pity you don't give the LBB a second look, most of them are real characters if you study them. love the last shot.
