Yield to the Jaguar

I had a lot of fun creating this map for a contest over at www.theydrawandtravel.com  And I'm working on an illustration right now for another contest over at www.theydrawandcook.com  I don't need to tell you all the great places to discover in Hopkins.  All you have to do is take a close look-see at my map.  But the reason I chose it for yield over at www.illustrationfriday.com is all the actual yield and caution signs we encountered.  I don't know if they are for real.  Or just a tourist joke.  But once you enter the parks you'll get a good laugh over all the signs.  Monkey Crossing.  Jaguar Crossing.  Tourist Crossing.  You get the idea...

P.S.  I just finished the illustrations for my 2nd book, " Maya Monkey!"

Sharon ,, you are magic. I just know it. So if I follow the map, will it take me somewhere magical?
You have a magic paint brush- right?
Is that why you can create illustrations and art? Mama tried to draw me- but she can't. A magic paint brush is ordered for her birthday

Really love the way you drew the dolphin and perspective of the bottles and drums. The whole piece really reminds me of a map youd see in a children's book or a highlight's mag.

These kind of maps are really cool and it looks really fun to do. I think my favorite bits are that adorable little orange grove and the brightly colored bus. Well done!

I love your map. I'm ready to pack my bags and follow it from beginning to end. That is funny about the signs. It reminds me of the Banana Slug Crossing sign we saw in Northern CA.

This is terrific! I was married on Ambergris Caye, Belize, so you totally had my heart with this one. :)
